Josie Taylor is an actress, writer and comedy performer who grew up in Cardiff and is now London-based.

A Bristol University drama graduate she enjoyed early success as one half of the comedy duo Millie and Tillie, taking their self-written shows to the Pleasance at the Edinburgh Fringe and winning through to the final of the 2005 Funny Women Awards at The Comedy Store.

She was subsequently signed by The Richard Stone Partnership and worked on projects as both writer (RDF & Talkback Thames) and actor (with all-female sketch group The Secret Gardeners). Josie has also worked with The Spontenaity Shop alongside Deborah Frances-White, host of the celebrated The Guilty Feminist comedy podcast.

The responsibilities of a new family and work as a drama teacher took over for a while, but Josie is now relaunching her performer/writer career. Recent credits include “Penpals” for BBC Radio Wales, and voice work for “Earthly Delights”, a BFI award-winning animation.

London venues where Josie has performed include The Hen and Chickens, The Canal Café, The Albany, Madam Jojo’s, Sketch Etc and The Comedy Store. And who could forget that memorably rowdy night at Cardiff’s Canton Liberal Club!
