Charlie Partridge makes Hackney Empire New Act of the Year Finals…

The NATYS 2020

Jo Brand hosts the 38th annual New Acts of the Year Showcase, and NATYS 2019, Njambi McGrath, tops the New Variety Bill featuring the next wave of Comedy acts.

From stand up to speciality, sketch to musical comedy and poetry to magic, 12 comedy acts, selected from 100 auditions, perform five minutes of their circuit routines. Treading Hackney Empire’s boards on their quest into the world of live popular entertainment, they follow in the footsteps of a Wikipedia of previous NATYS generations.

The Gimps are back in town…

They’re wiping down the masks once again and bringing some younger, more talented comedians with them for the ride. Expect songs, inappropriate punchlines and the sight of five men in their mid thirties questioning their life choices on stage whilst dancing…

Sketch Off Quarter-finals

Delighted to report that Barnaby Judge, Charlie Partridge and Fiona Sagar have made the quarter finals of this competition and will compete in different heats at the Museum of Comedy on Sunday 2 February!!! Here’s to seeing them both in the semis….
