Stephanie O’Keeffe is an actor, comedian, writer, tv presenter, and expert improviser.
She created, co-wrote and stars in this year’s hilarious Channel 4 Series “Girls Go Trolling”, which sees Stephanie’s character lead her female troll team of reporters, as they prank unsuspecting members of the public, and Steph really puts her years of honed improvising skills through their paces.
Steph also regularly presents for the Sky 1 TV Show “Whatsup!”. Of all her funny reports so far, Steph’s particularly proud of getting a very fun tongue-and-cheek interview with the lovely Carrie Fisher, a Hollywood star whose reputation for avoiding interviews precedes her.
Stephanie first started making waves in comedy on Dom Joly’s ITV TV Show “Fool Britannia” where she played the lead female prankster in three episodes.
And in 2014 Steph created and fronted several comedy videos for the Metro newspaper website playing her reporter character and alto-ego ‘Stephanie Trolls’, which came about after Stephanie created and fronted her own successful YouTube Series “Stephanie Trolls”, in 2013, showcasing her reporter character at live events improvising.
Several of Steph’s videos have been featured by The British Comedy Guide and Funny Women, including her “Sexism in The City” series, “When Hettie Met Nigel Farage”-(featuring Steph’s character’s interview with the man himself), her “Game of Thrones Parody Series”, and her imitation of Joanna Lumley’s Ab Fab character ‘Patsy’.
Steph’s definitely no mouse having gained her ball-busting grounding working as a TV Journalist at Sky News, Channel 4 News and BBC London.
Having caught the comedy bug at university where Steph performed in both an improv group and sketch group for three years, her love of the funny stuff and the news would invariably collide…
