Matt is an actor, comedian and writer.
He’s perhaps best know being part of the comedy trio The Real MacGuffins who been performing consistently on the comedy circuit since 2009 and most recently completed a nationwide tour and London run with “Instructions for American Servicemen in Britain” which received rave reviews.
They have headlined festivals in Bath, Brighton and Leicester and performed at venues throughout London including the Leicester Square Theatre, the Charing Cross Theatre and the Bloomsbury Theatre as well as occupying a month long residency at the Bush Theatre.
Following three critically acclaimed, sell-out, five star shows at the Edinburgh Festival directed by the illustrious Cal McCrystal and John Walton (who directed 2012 Comedy Award winner Doctor Brown), they were commissioned to write for “Mitchell & Webb” in 2013 for the show that was voted ‘Best British Radio Sitcom’ by the British Comedy Guide. They currently have several TV and radio projects in various stages of development.
Matt’s TV appearances include “The Bleak Old Shop” (BBC2) and fronting a national ident campaign for “Flora Pro Active” on ITV.
Matt has been largely responsible for all the MacGuffins online video content, including writing, producing, filming and editing over 50 videos. He’s been an active member of London’s thriving fringe theatre scene performing with and helping to administrate fringe rep company First Draft Theatre from 2005–2008 until his comedic ambitions took over.
Matt has extensive experience in corporate roleplay, business improvisation and forum theatre working with some of Britain’s top business schools and training organisations.
Matt can drive a car, ride a horse and once (very briefly) few a plane.
